Mykonos

Famed for its distinctive white-washed villages, paradise beaches and cosmopolitan nightlife, Mykonos certainly deserves its crown as the most stylish of the Greek Islands.

The island boasts a clutch of sandy beaches, with impossibly clear blue water. The watersports and cocktails bars at Paradise and Super Paradise draw in the younger set, for something a bit more relaxed head to the coves of Elia and Ornos. You’ll find plenty of sunloungers, and a handful of authentic tavernas at each. Plati Yialos is perfect mid-ground – a lively stretch of sand fringed with hotels and family-friendly bars and restaurants.

When it comes to night life, Mykonos is particularly well served. After dark, Paradise and Super Paradise are the place to be for cocktails and dancing. If you’re looking for a relaxing meal out, head to Mykonos town. You’ll be spoilt for choice with options ranging from Greek fusion, to bespoke vegetarian meals. For a special occasion, book into Nobu restaurant, Matsuhisa to enjoy culinary masterpieces in the most stylish surroundings.
