What Seychelles Is Best Known For
Seychelles is a haven for world-class activities. Its safe and pristine environment is just the place to treat your family to a once-in-a-lifetime holiday.

Outer Islands Luxury Experiences
The Outer Islands of Seychelles, far from the main island of Mahé, are comprised of 72 remote coral islands. Immerse yourself in an untouched paradise with a rich biodiversity of fauna and flora, and experience all that the Outer Islands have to offer – including scuba diving, snorkelling, fly fishing, turtle nest viewing, bird watching, taking part in wildlife conservation and reef flats expeditions.
Discover too, a new style of distinctive lodging – Alphonse Island Lodge, Astove Coral House and Cosmoledo Eco Camp, and experiential travel, while actively conserving this pristine region.

Nature
For millennia, the Seychelles Islands have remained isolated, resembling a series of Noah’s Arks that safeguard some of the most extraordinary and scarce varieties of flora and fauna on Earth. Among its remarkable features are two UNESCO World Heritage sites: the fabled Vallée de Mai and Aldabra, the largest raised coral atoll globally.
Encompassing the 41 granitic islands are sprawling forests, home to an astonishing 1,500 species of flowering plants, many of which are unparalleled elsewhere on the planet. These islands are also the exclusive habitat for a range of bird species. In total, Seychelles nurtures 13 species and 17 sub-species of birds that are found nowhere else in the world. This exceptional biodiversity is accessible through an extensive network of guided walks and trails, as well as within its national parks.

Sustainability
Seychelles stands as a striking example of a nation that heavily relies on tourism, taking immense pride in cultivating an immaculate and captivating environment that caters to both its inhabitants and tourists. This unspoiled backdrop plays a pivotal role in cementing Seychelles’ reputation as a globally renowned destination, where nature flourishes and shelters some of the rarest species of flora and fauna on the globe.
Amidst the ongoing challenges faced as a compact island nation, Seychelles actively places sustainability at the forefront of its long-term plans, showcasing a steadfast commitment to upholding environmental integrity and bolstering resilience through collaborative efforts. Collective responsibility lies in optimising the gifts bestowed by Mother Nature, meticulously devising forward-looking, visionary, and sustainable strategies to ensure a harmonious equilibrium.

Culture & Heritage
With a fusion of traditions and customs from African, European, and Asian origins, Seychelles’ heritage is a vibrant tapestry woven not only from the languages, customs, values, and practices brought over from diverse backgrounds, but also from the deep-rooted faiths and beliefs that characterise its people.
From the national heritage monuments and bustling markets to the colonial-style mansions, museums, and natural marvels, Seychelles presents a treasure trove of experiences for visitors to immerse themselves in. The spectrum of local art, cuisine, music, dance, architecture, and cultural activities contributes to this rich tapestry, providing an array of captivating encounters.
