Seychelles

A cluster of islands in the idyllic Indian Ocean, the Seychelles are a vision of paradise which make the perfect setting for a luxury beach holiday. Popular amongst honeymooners for its magical setting, each of the country’s 115 islands is packed with gorgeous pale-sanded beaches and turquoise waters from which to enjoy a cocktail or a coconut in the year-round sunshine.

The main islands of Mahé, La Digue and Praslin also offer a chance to explore local life and sample the cultural diversity of the Seychelles, whilst Cousin Island is packed with exotic wildlife, including turtles, lizards and the warbler birds.

When to Visit

Below gives you information and a rating of the best time of year to visit.

January

Peak summer conditions so the humidity and rainfall will be at their highest. It’s unlikely due to it being holiday season that you’ll find many deals either so this could be a month to avoid if you can.

February

Still the wet season so one to avoid unless you’re interested in Hawksbill Turtle season where hundreds of hatchlings will make their way to the water and create an amazing spectacle. This runs between Jan-Mar.

March

A nice time to visit due to high temperatures, a decrease in rain frequency and with the tourist numbers quite low in comparison to peak season. You’re likely to get a bargain for these reasons.

April

Beautiful weather will greet you this month which is widely considered to be one of the best times to visit. It’ll be warm and for those who love snorkelling and diving, the water visibility will be great.

Great for bird watchers this month as it’s breeding season.

The best time to visit for snorkelling and diving enthusiasts. Throw in the beautiful weather conditions and you have one of the best months to visit for the year.

November

An increase in rainfall this month though still not a bad time to visit as it’ll be warm and the winds won’t be too strong.

December

Not the best month to visit if you’re looking for perfect weather conditions though the crowds will still arrive for the holiday season. Expect some rain this month.
